Penland School of Craft doesn’t mess around.

When I discovered that Penland School of Craft was up the road a few hours, I knew that I had some exploring to do. I arrived on Sunday and was quickly welcomed into a community that is open and inventive. The air is good and so is the coffee. I may never leave.

Yesterday, I actually went out and bought myself a digi so I could document the action in the studios. I’ve posted some pics below from the iron studio, where my public art class is taking place.

Who knew that the very next day, these rolls of newspaper would become llama.
