Spring Book Arts Workshop

FUN FOLDED BOOKS Taught by book-binder Anne Clark.

This class will be a fun three-session introduction to non-adhesive book binding.

Wednesdays March 4, 11 and 18

6:30pm – 8:30pm

$65 for three sessions (materials included)

If you can fold a sheet of paper—you can make a book!  This class will introduce you to some versatile non-adhesive book forms that are fun and as immediate as folding a piece of paper.  We’ll learn some ingenious single-sheet folded books, pamphlet, and accordion bindings, as well as spend some time decorating our books with some scrumptious Japanese paper and adding content.  The perfect class for the beginner who wants an introduction to book arts, or the more advanced artist who wants to learn some innovative book structures.

ANNE CLARK loves books and paper and has been a bookbinder for the past eleven years.  She has trained in traditional binding techniques with master binder, Monique Lallier, as well as less traditional ones at various workshops and art schools. She has taught bookbinding classes for the past four years at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro as well as other locations. She is a member of the Orange County Artists Guild.
